This End Down

So I was watching Hot Air’s latest video and thinking, “Man, that Muslim/Moslem guy looks like a dorky American. If I didn’t know what this was about, I’d expect him to be lecturing me on the benefits of programming in Assembly language, or something like that.” Maybe my thought process isn’t quite so eloquent, but you understand the general idea. They they showed the picture of him from when he was younger. I laughed out loud.

I cannot say that, like some of my family members and friends, I agree with everything Hot Air presents. But I enjoy seeing people on the right attempt to present their viewpoint while both A) attempting to be objective as possible and B) understanding their inability to be completely objective. And, it provides a nice counterpoint to the excess of witty liberal pundits whose shows I watch merely for entertainment value.

(If you’re interested on my take on politics, here’s an easy way to understand it: My liberal friends think I’m a conservative wackjob and my conservative friends think I’ve sold my soul to the devil. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who actually feels the same way I do about pretty much anything related to politics.)
