Although, mine has a mommy spin to it. For a while I was really sick. I wasn't sure if I was seriously gonna be around for a long time. It got me thinking about the kind of person I am. For me the question I ask most is, "What kind of person will my family say I was?". "When my kids are someday telling their friends about me, what will they say." Because they are the ones who get to see me really be me....happy or sad, frustrated or content, angry or peaceful...they see it all. So I always wonder what will be their conclusion about my life. I always hope that their conclusion will be that I was the kind of Mom that admitted when I screwed up, said I'm sorry when I should, and showed them how a real human being loves Jesus and people amidst all their screw ups. And in all that, I hope that they will decide to follow Jesus because I made it look appealing instead of boring, hypocritical, and too hard. I think about that all the time too.
